Veterans of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade collection, 1936-[on-going].

Contains materials (correspondence, subject files, clippings, printed ephemera, realia) which document the activities of members of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade and others in the International Brigade, in particular members of the Bay Area Post. To a lesser extent the collection also documents activities and interests of Lincoln Brigade veterans in political developments throughout the world since the Spanish Civil War. Files include records of the Bay Area Post and ALB veterans' reunions.

VALB was formed in December 1937 by U.S. volunteers returning from combat in the Spanish Civil War.
