Braye manuscripts collection, 1572-1748 (inclusive), [microform].

The papers consist of documents originally in the possession of John Browne, Clerk of the Parliaments (1638-1649, 1660-1691), or his descendants, consisting of official records of the House of Lords, some Parliament Office papers, and a few personal family papers. These were discovered before 1887 at Stanford Hall, Northamptonshire, in the custody of Browne's descendant, the then Lord Braye. The House of Lords Record Office eventually acquired the Browne papers and the collection was named "The Braye Manuscripts."
