Disposition Authorities for Individual Classification for Headquarters Case Files. Part B: Classification 132. Special Inquiry, Office of Defense Mobilization.

This applicant classification was established by Bureau directive of February 17, 1951, and related to investigations of applicants for positions within the Office of Defense Mobilization. All investigations in this classification were conducted in conformance with other applicant type investigations as set forth in Section 103 of the 1952 FBI Manual of Instructions. This classification was declared obsolete in 1951.

The FBI established this classification when it assumed responsibility for ascertaining the protection capabilities and weaknesses of defense plants. Each plant survey was a separate case file, with the survey, supplemental surveys, and all communications dealing with a plant insofar as plant protection was concerned, filed together.
