American Gathering Conference collection Poland X-Z testimonies.

Includes testimonies written by Polish Jews who survived the Holocaust. The testimonies describe life in the ghettos of LØdz and Warsaw, escape to and hiding in the forests, deportations from the ghettos to concentration camps, and activities of the Gestapo in the ghettos. Of special interest are three poems written by Itka Zygmuntowicz describing the loss of his family and his experiences of Nazi persecution and survival in the camps.
