This series includes the correspondence of the Ala. State Planning Board which was established as the state administrative agency to distribute and manage WPA funds for major development and improvement projects on state land. The Commission's correspondence concerns a variety of subjects including road building, bridge construction, employees, and funding requests. The State Planning Board is a predecessor to the Ala. Development Office and succeeded the State Planning Commission (1935-1943). Records of the State Planning Commission are also included in this series.
