This series contains correspondence created by the directors of the Dept. of Labor in the daily operation of the dept. The bulk of the records are letters sent to the Governor concerning labor which were referred to the Dept. of Labor. Each letter containg the answer drafted by the dept. personnel and a copy of the answer sent to the constituent by the governor's office. This series also includes correspondence relating to labor activity at the Ala. State Docks, union officials and officers operating in Ala. and information relating to director's activity on the Ala. Commission on Aging.
