Register of applications for appointments, 1881-1886.

This series consists of a record of persons applying to the Governor for appointments to county offices. Included are the dates upon which the applications were received in the Governor's office, the county that the applicant is from, the office that the person is applying for, the county in which the applicant would like to serve (post office), when the application was disposed of, if the application was accepted or rejected, and remarks concerning the application. This series also lists the reason for the rejection of applications.
