Letter to Stephen Van Rensselaer. "Yesterday Mr. Ten Eyck paid me the balance due on your note due the 10th...1886.27. I received on account of it of Mr. Harris...400[for a total of]...2286.27. I took as part payment Mr. Ten Eyck's note for $400 at 60 days. I hope you will not fail to send the money to meet the payment of the note due 10th of next month. Mrs. Macomb is engaged in building in the country and wants the money very much." Written at New York, N.Y.
