Typed copies of letters written by Belcourt to the Bishop of Quebec and others telling them of his life as a Roman Catholic missionary to the Ojibwe Indians at Pembina and Turtle Mountain, Dakota Territory (In French). Includes Father Alexius Hoffmann's translation of George A. Belcourts "Mon itineraire du Lac des Deux-Montagnes a la Riviere-Rouge" (April 25-June 17, 1831) and Father Hoffman's background notes on Belcourt and the Red River settlments.
