Concern for the individual; the community YWCA and other Berkeley organizations : oral history transcript, 1978.

Based on 17 interviews with Hart by Gabrielle Morris in 1977, this oral history transcript focuses on the evolution of the community YWCA where Hart was active for 25 years. Other topics include growing up in a prominent San Francisco family, responsibilities as a faculty wife (James David Hart was professor and vice-chancellor at Berkeley University), activities for children, other civic interests and youth and women's programs. Includes three memorials by Alvin I. Fine, Ira Michael Heyman and Charles Muscatine. Sponsored by the Regional Oral History Office of the Bancroft Library, University of California, Berkeley.
