Celeste C. Bayliss and family papers, 1918-1945.

Letters and clippings regarding Bayliss' participation in community service activities and organizations in St. Louis County (Minnesota) and state-wide, particularly in the meetings and program of the Minnesota Federation of Women's Clubs during her term as its president (1925-1929). The papers reflect her interest in effective organization of women for community service, in communal property rights for women, and in children's and community health and welfare. Also included is biographical data on her husband Willard, a superintendent of the Oliver Iron Mining Company at Chisholm, and an article by him (1928) on Chisholm's iron ore industry.
