Buckingham was associate professor of speech and drama at Stanford (1911-1944). Relatives (uncle and aunt?), John W. Lee and Mary A. Frost, were married near Greenfield, Illinois in 1861. Frances Theresa Peet Russell, Professor of English at Stanford was an authority on Robert Browning and a published poet. She joined the Stanford faculty in 1906 as an assistant in philosophy, later becoming an instructor in English and finally a full professor. She died 15 February 1936. Frank B. Russell, born 26 August 1868, was an instructor in Anthropology at Harvard from 1896 until his death in 1903 and an ethnologist with the Bureau of American Ethnology (1901-1902)...
