Yvonne Rainer is an avant-garde American dancer, choreographer, filmmaker and writer. Her papers document her life as an artist from the late 1950s through 2006, and include photographic material dated as early as 1933. Materials include dance scores; programs and posters; photographic and audiovisual documentation of performances, rehearsals, and films; correspondence; writings, including Rainer's feature-length film scripts; and critical response to her work.
