World War II correspondence. 1868-2009 (bulk 1943-1945).

Primarily letters sent home by a Ramsey County man to his family in the St. Paul area while serving in the United States Signal Corps during World War II from stateside camps and from deployments in New Guinea and the Philippines. The collection also includes biographical material, genealogical data on the Keller family, some photographs, and some post-war correspondence and papers. Much of the material is in 3-ring binders.

Ralph Joseph Keller was born April 10, 1918 to Peter J. and Christina (Dahners) Keller in Rose Township, Ramsey County, Minnesota. His father was a farmer in what later became Falcon Heights. Keller served in the Signal Corps during World War II at Camp Crowder, Missouri; Camp Charles Wood, Fort Monmouth, and Camp Edison, New Jersey; and in New Guinea and the Philippines. Congress passed a resolution creating a national weather service on February 9, 1870, and it was signed into law by President Ulysses S. Grant. This new law directed the Secretary of War to take meterological observations and provide warnings of approaching storms. The Brevet Brigadier General Albert J.
