Harry D. Maddy was a violinist with the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra during Obehoffer’s tenure. His son-in-law, Rhadames John Angelucci, was oboist with the Orchestra for over 40 years. “Johnny” was hired in 1936 as an English horn player, but soon moved to his preferred instrument, the oboe, and in 1938 Dimitri Mitropoulos made him principal oboist for the Orchestra, a position he retained until his retirement in 1980.
