This series consists of transcripts of oral history interviews and accompanying correspondence with former Armed Forces Radio and Television (AFRTS) personnel. It is the product of historian Dr. Lawrence Suid's Department of Defense contract work in preparing a history of AFRTS for the American Forces Information Service (AFIS). Included among the records are interviews with Armed Forces Radio Service heads Lieutenant Colonel Thomas H. A. Lewis and Colonel Robert Cranston and Hollywood celebrities and entertainment figures such as Bob Hope, Mel Blanc, Frank Capra, Kay Kyser, and Wolfman Jack.
