Jay T. Robbins (b. 1919, Coolidge, Tex.-d. Mar. 3, 2001), ; jet-qualified command pilot, was appointed vice commander of the Tactical Air Command at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia in February 1970. In August 1972 he became vice commander of the Military Airlift Command. He retired from Air Force service on September 1, 1974. Woodard Extron Davis was born September 17, 1921, in Riderwood, Alabama. He joined the U.S. Army Air Force in 1942, and advanced through the ranks to major general of the U.S. Air Force. John Dale Ryan (1915-1983) was the Seventh Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force.
