Robert Steiner Kieve (b. 1921) graduated from Harvard University in 1943 and began work in Madrid as Information Officer of the American Embassy. He returned to the United States in 1947 as Program Director of radio station WGVA in Geneva, New York. He moved to New York City two years later to work as a writer for CBS from 1950 to 1953.
