This series contains correspondence, reports and printed material pertaining to the early activities of the Ninety-Nines, an international organization of women pilots founded by Amelia Earhart in 1929. This series contains the official records of the first five presidents of the organization. This material was given to Jacqueline Cochran when she was elected president in 1941 and she retained the files instead of passing them on to her successor in 1943.
