This film covers scenes of Richard E. Byrd's exploratory first flight over the South Pole. It shows members of the Byrd party digging out and reassembling a sheltered Ford Trimotor airplane, men feeding porpoises or cow elephants, loading gear on plane, and plane taking off and flying over frozen wasteland. Footage also includes interior shots of plane with Byrd seated.
