Part 1, Chiang Kai-shek and Gen. Mountbatten inspect Chinese troops in Burma. The Chinese, receiving guns and ammunition by parachute, advance on Japanese positions. Gen. Stilwell decorates some of the men. Part 2, the aircraft carrier Ticonderoga is launched. Part 3, President Roosevelt presents a destroyer escort to French naval officers in navy yard ceremonies. Sengalese troops land in Italy. Part 4, soldiers land on Kwajalein and Marines land on Roi and Namur in the Marshall group. Naval guns shell the islands.
