An adventurous test pilot (Clark Gable) is forced down by a storm and lands In a farmer's pasture. He marries the farmer's daughter (Myrna Loy) and is later grounded by a heart condition. His new and safer position as an airlines executive gratifies his wife, but the test pilot accepts his grounding grudgingly until the arguments of his friends change his viewpoint.
