Otto Miller (1874-1950) was a businessman and civic leader of Cleveland, Ohio. The collection consists of correspondence of Andrew Jackson, letters about him, financial accounts (1804-1833), list of Jackson's land holdings (1793-1801), estate papers (1867), and other papers collected by Otto Miller.

Andrew Jackson, 7th President of the United States. Born on March 15, 1767 in the Waxhaw Settlement in South Carolina; though just a boy, participated in the battle of Hanging Rock during the Revolution, captured by the British and imprisoned. He worked for a time in a saddler's shop and afterward taught school before studying law in Salisbury, N.C. In 1788 he was appointed solicitor of the western district of North Carolina, comprising what is now the State of Tennessee. Upon the admission of T...
