Captain Stephen E. Glover wrote a play entitled The Cradle of Liberty around 1832. Set in Revolutionary-era Boston and based on James Fenimore Cooper's 1825 novel Lionel Lincoln, the play revolves around the relationship between a young British nobleman and his patriot father.
