Joseph Currier (1785-1819) of Freeport, Maine, married Sally Follansbee on April 2, 1818. Their daughter, Sarah Ann, was born on February 18, 1819. Sarah Ann Currier lived in Amesbury, Massachusetts, and stayed with Joseph Follansbee, a congressman from Massachusetts, in Washington, D. C., in 1843. Her cousins were members of the Currier family of Freeport, Maine; her aunt was Jane B. Soule of Bangor, Maine. Sarah Ann Currier married Amaziah Richmond (1809-1896) in 1847....
