Nathan Womack was a native of Reidsville, NC., graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in 1922, and received his M.D. from Washington University in 1924. He spent the years between 1924-30 in postdoctorate surgical education and returned to Washington University in 1930 as a member of the surgical faculty. He was a member of the American Board of Surgery and served on the editorial board of the Annals of Surgery and The American Surgeon. He was active in many professio...
