Max Kapp (1904-1979) was born in Herkimer, New York. He attended the Theological School of St. Lawrence University and received his AB in 1926 and BD in 1928. He was ordained as a Universalist minister in Newtonville, Massachusetts, in 1928. He held ministerial settlements in Massachusetts and New York.
