Louise Talma was an American composer, pianist, and educator. She was a student of Nadia Boulanger and a long-time resident of Fontainebleau and the MacDowell Colony in Peterborough, New Hampshire. The music materials in the collection consist chiefly of holograph manuscript scores, sketches, tone rows, and photo-reproduced manuscripts bearing annotations in the composer's hand. The remaining materials are not processed at this time and consist of correspondence, photographs, business papers, and other materials related to her career.
