The collection consists of material created andaccumulated by Larry Fagin, stemming from his individual and collaborative workas a poet and editor, and, to a lesser extent, as a teacher, filmmaker, artist,choreographer, and journalist, and documenting his relationship with otherpoets and writers associated with the New York School. Material includescorrespondence, printed material, typescripts of poems, essays, translations,and film scripts, publicity material for readings, lectures, and publications,interview transcripts, teaching files, collages, an 8 mm motion picture, andother material. The bulk of the collection consists of files compiled by Faginaccording to correspondent and/or subject, including extensive files for GlenBaxter, Bill Berkson, Jack Collom, Clark Coolidge, Michael Friedman, JohnGodfrey, Naropa Institute, Ron Padgett, Poetry Project at St. Mark's, JudithReifman, and Anne Waldman, among others.
