Dental School Special Post-Graduate Courses 1933-1955

The records of the Dental School's Special Post-graduate Courses fill two and a half boxes and span the years 1933-1955. Courses are foldered individually, and are arranged chronologically by the date of the course. Folders for each course typically contain correspondence, brochures describing the course, syllabi, lists of registrants, registration forms, and occasional photographs of the attendees. The original folders, with the basic information relating to each course printed on then, were retained. Folders indicate either the number of students registered or the name of the specific group (e.g., W.K. Kellogg Foundation). The first twelve folders document courses sponsored by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to enhance the education of its dentists. The Inter-American Course offered in November, 1943, was attended by nineteen dentists from Latin America. NOTE: Many of the folders are somewhat brittle. Care should be used in handling them.
