This series consists of correspondence, telegrams and cables, memoranda, reports, pamphlets, conference papers, working papers, and other documents relating to the U.S Information Agency's involvement in the Department of State's Berlin Task Force. Included are records compiled and translated as part of the Quadripartite Document Series and Quadripartite Information Subcommittee, project and program files, subject files, intelligence summaries, field activity files, and copies of correspondence to and from Edward R. Murrow, the director of the U.S. Information Agency. Some records are in German and French. The Office of the Assistant Director for Europe maintained these records.

Edward Roscoe Murrow (April 25, 1908 – April 27, 1965), born Egbert Roscoe Murrow, was an American broadcast journalist and war correspondent. He first gained prominence during World War II with a series of live radio broadcasts from Europe for the news division of CBS.
