This series consists of photographs of the Space Shuttle orbiter and related launch components, including the Mobile Launch Platform (MLP), Ground Support Equipment (GSE), Solid Rocket Boosters (SRBs) and External Tank (ET), during pre-launch, launch and post-launch inspections for missions STS-001, STS-007, STS-26, STS-61 and STS-114. In addition, there are post-landing inspection images of the Space Shuttle Endeavour after mission STS-61.

The Endeavour Space Shuttle had its first flight in 1992 and was retired in 2011. It was named for the British HMS Endeavour, Captain James Cook's ship, on his first voyage of discovery (1768–1771). It flew 25 missions. Since its retirement Endeavour is housed at the California Science Center....
