Christopher J. Hoy papers, 1935-1992.

Scrapbook, diary transcript, railroad passes, and other papers of Christopher J. Hoy, an Irish American Chicagoan, who was educated in Catholic schools in the city and employed by various Chicago companies. Includes a scrapbook of clippings and athletic letters documenting Hoy's football career at St. Columbanus Grade School and St. Leo High School, ca. 1930-1935; his St. Leo High School diploma, 1935; transcript of a diary kept by Hoy in 1940-42; World War II era ration books; railroad passes issued to Hoy while an employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad, 1940s-1950s; materials about Hoy's retirement from the American Library Association, 1983; and copies of Hoy's obituaries, 1992.
