Safari Centrafrique with Claude Vasselet - typescript, 1963.

The collection consists of a typed booklet written by Campbell giving a daily account of the safari. There are detailed descriptions of the trip to Africa, the hunts, the animals, the food and the people. The last page lists the animals killed by each man and includes elephants, lions and leopards. After pages 21 and 43 there are copies of five photographs of the hunters with their kill.

James L. Campbell (1913-1998) was a doctor in Orlando, Florida. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1936. He and a friend, Jerry Ross, went on safari in the Central African Republic in February and March of 1963. Claude Vasselet was their white hunter.
