Thomas O. Larkin (1802-1858) was a merchant who settled in Monterey, California, who later became U.S. consul (1844-48) and served as a delegate to the California Constitutional Convention in 1849. Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area. He is descended from the Thatchers of Uffington, England, the same family as Denis Thatcher, husband of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. From the description of H.H.
