Hume-Williams, W. Ellis (William Ellis), Sir, 1863-
Variant namesWilliam Ellis Williams (1881-1962), formerly independent lecturer and Professor in Electrical Engineering at University College of North Wales, Bangor. His professional interests were wide, ranging from aeronautics, hydroelectricity to radio and television. He and his colleague, Professor Bryan, a lecturer in maths at the University, designed, built and flew their own aeroplane, in the years immediately before the First World War.
