Sir Bertram Coghill Alan Windle, 1858-1929, was the dean of Queen's College Birmingham, a medical college and predecessor of University of Birmingham. He was involved in the early move towards a Midland University and became the first Professor of Anatomy at University of Birmingham when it received chartership in 1900.
