McLure, John Thomas.
John Thomas McLure was a member of the football team of the Georgia Military Academy in 1904 and of the Alabama Polytechnic Institute (now Auburn University) football and baseball teams in 1907-1909. He was the football captain in 1908, the same year he was named to the "All Southern" team. McLure was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity, was the grandson of Alabama planter, legislator, and railroad builder William E. Reynolds (1799-1871), and was the nephew of API president Dr. Isaac Taylor Tichenor.
