Newton, Robert.
Dr. Robert Newton (1889-1985) joined the University of Alberta staff in 1919 in plant crops, remaining until 1931. After a period at the National Research Council, he returned to the University as Dean of Agriculture, 1940-41, and as President, 1941-1950. The Presidents' Papers contain his official correspondence.
