Frederick Philip Parkinson, Esq. was Gold Warden and Police Magistrate at Croydon. He later went on to take up a similar position at Georgetown. Parkinson had a long career on the goldfields of Queensland that began in November 1883, when he was appointed to the position of District Registrar on the Etheridge goldfield. He subsequently served as District Registrar on the Palmer, and as Clerk of Petty Sessions at Georgetown. He was appointed Gold Warden at Croydon on the 1st July, 1892 at an annual salary of 430 pounds a year.
