Lund (Harvard, M.D. 1920) was a clinical professor of surgery at the Harvard Medical School from 1955 to 1961, and surgeon-in-chief of the Fifth Surgical Service, Boston City Hospital, from 1951 to 1960. Lund made important studies on protein metabolism in surgical patients and contributed to the treatment of burns and to cancer diagnosis.
