Hide Profile

Alton Holte, a native of Strum, Wisconsin, moved to the Twin Cities (Minn.) when he was about twenty. He lived the remainder of his life on his Inver Grove Heights cattle farm, but derived most of his income from selling products to farmers-milking machines, milk coolers, and specialized vacuum machines. He was also noted for distributing thousands of miniature milk buckets at a Minnesota State Fair booth that he maintained for 60 years. Holte's first wife--Jean Lehmann--died in 1950. He later married Ortrude, who was also his partner in publishing the newsletter.
