Gregg, James H. (James Henderson), 1920-1997
James H. Gregg (1920-1997) was a University of Florida professor of microbiology and an artist. During World War II, he was a rifleman in the 63rd Infantry Division, from 1944 to 1946, with wartime service in Germany. He earned a Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1950 and was on the faculty of IFAS, University of Florida, from 1951 until his retirement in 1985. Photographs of his paintings and sculpture have been published in The Art of James H. Gregg (Gainesville, 2002).
