Maunsel White Hickey, born Nov. 9, 1918, in Galveston, Tex., attended Tulane University during the 1930s. He was a descendant of Héloise de la Ronde (daughter of Pierre Denis de la Ronde (1762-1824) and Eulalie Guerbois), whose second husband was Maunsel White (1783-1863), New Orleans, La., merchant and southern Louisiana planter. Maunsel White was the son of Lawford White (b. Ireland 1773). Clara White (d. 1880), daughter of Maunsel White and Héloise de la Ronde, married Carl Kohn. Their only child, Evelyn Kohn (d. 1910), married Victor Meyer. They had six children, one of whom was Lenora Meyer. Lenora married John Alexander Hickey (1863-1937) and one of their children was Maunsel White Hickey. Maunsel W. Hickey married Elizabeth Baldwin; they settled in Louisiana and had children. Mr. Hickey survived his wife and a daughter, who died in an airplane crash in 1975. A son living in Louisiana in the twenty-first century is named Maunsel White Hickey.
