Edwin Beverly "Buck" Weaver (1903-1965) was born in Lewistown, Montana. He attended Shattock Academy in Fairbault, Minnesota, Carroll College in Helena, Montana, and the University of Washington in Seattle. He came to Alaska in 1928 and remained until 1938, working for the Fairbanks Exploration Company and serving a stint as chief of the Fairbanks Fire Department. Following his departure from Alaska, he served in World War II and in 1947 started his own business, Weaver's Concrete Supplies, Bainbridge Island, Washington. (From information in the collection.)
