Carl Brablec was a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and the University of Michigan. He began his career as a teacher, then as principal and superintendent of schools in Britton and Clarkston. From 1947 to 1970, he was superintendent of the Roseville Community School District. In addition, from 1957 to 1966, Brablec served as a Regent of the University of Michigan.
