Variant namesThe Historical Photograph Collection consists of images of New York City buildings and streets, chiefly in mid-town Manhattan, an area of primary interest to real estate developer Seymour B. Durst (1914-1995). The images date from the late 19th century to ca. 1980 and include originals and copy prints. Durst collected the images and other non-print materials that complement his extensive book collection, all now housed at the CUNY Graduate Center as The Seymour B. Durst Old York Library.
