Native of Marion, Illinois (Williamson County). Businessman and political official (Democrat). Member of the State Board of Elections, December 1973-January 1977 (vice-chairman, 1975-January 1977). Appointed to the Illinois House of Representatives, January 1977, to fill the term of Clyde Choate (80th General Assembly), representing the 59th District. Elected to the Illinois House of Representatives in 1978, representing the 59th District in the 81st General Assembly. Returned to real estate business in Marion in 1980.
