Blankenship, George E.

George E. Blankenship was born about 1863. He and his family were early pioneers of Thurston County, Washington. In fact, his grandfather was a librarian for the Washington Territorial Library. His grandfather had little interest in the position so he turned it over to George E. Blankenship, who was 15 years old. Blankenship continued in his family's career by becoming a printer, newspaper man and writer of Olympia, WA history. In 1936, George E. Blankenship passed away in Thurston County, WA.
