Morgan, Lila Bess Olin, 1895-1977.
Lila Bess Olin Morgan, married to Frank P. Morgan, was a member of a prominent Montgomery family. She was also the daughter of Juliet Olin and the mother of Juliette Hampton Morgan. Juliette, a white Montgomery librarian, was a vocal proponent of civil rights in the 1950s. Her views caused her to be ostracized by Montgomery society which eventually led to her suicide.
